Demonstrations in Copenhagen

May 17th 2006 saw the biggest political demonstrations in many years. All over Denmark people showed their
dissatisfaction with the government and in particular the planned cuttings on welfare.
The organisers estimate that 70,000 people joined in Copenhagen alone.
This photo report is from the main demonstration in front of the parliament (Christiansborg).
