PresiDent of Tanzania visits Denmark - 27 photos

Jakaya Kikwete, the president of the United Republic of Tanzania made an official visit in Denmark on March 1st 2007. The president met with Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, but also found time to give a lecture in the University of Copenhagen. President Kikwete took office after being sworn in December 2005 and an election which was considered to be an example for the rest of Africa. The president holds a degree in economics and gave this lecture on the "challenges for the new African leadership". Kikwete are influenced by the first president of Tanzania, Julius Nyerere, and has earned a lot of respect as a strong leader with focus on democracy and development.
