presenting itself and its objects on this page.
 Welcome
to KEDFA
KEDFA is the association of Kenyans living in Denmark, Danes who left
their heart in Kenya, friends and others with interest in Kenya.
The association was formed in 1982 by a group of Kenyans
living in Denmark and Danes attached to Kenya. We are currently about
50 members and would welcome more.
Activities in Denmark
KEDFA's activities in Denmark are first of all to function as a network
and arranging social activities. We arrange an annual summer party and
picnic and also celebrate festivities like
Madaraka day, Jamhuri day and more. All members are encouraged to come
up with ideas and projects.
Activities in Kenya
Among our work are support for charity projects in
Kenya. Among others, we have supported projects like the following:
- Kilimani Destitute & Disabled Children's Home,
Isiolo, Kenya
- Golden Bridge Project for street children, Nakuru,
Kenya
- Kimlea Girls' Technical Training Centre, Kenya
Funds of the association are provided by memberships fees, donations
and through our other activities.

Main principles
Among our main principles and aims are to aggrandize and maintain a friendly
relationship between the two countries and the people of Kenya and Denmark.
We work to create an atmosphere of togetherness between Kenyans and Danes,
to serve as a medium of communication, better and closer contacts.
The association is purely social and cultural with no affiliation to
political, tribal or religious aims.
Membership
Membership to KEDFA is open for any Kenyans and Danes whose aims are
similar to to the constitution of the association. Registration in Kenyan-Danish
Friendship Association is DKK 50,- and the annual membership fee is DKK
150,-.
